Bistro 3 Port Douglas has received both regional and national recognition for its food and service in many publications across Australia.
In 2010-2011 Bistro 3 is the only restaurant in Port Douglas which has been recognised by Australia’s leading restaurant guide Gourmet Traveller whilst at the same time picking up two wine ‘goblets’ indicating a wine list which delivers “an outstanding, well presented selection of wine that makes a serious contribution to the overall quality of the establishment”.

“Looking for bustle? You’ll find it at Bistro 3’s scarlet-accented quarters, along with light, carefree holiday food. To start? Kingfish sashimi with shredded wakame, plus a liberal slug of ponzu and shoyu.
Check out the signature sweet-fleshed local barramundi with a spicy red curry sauce. This baby arrives whole, with jasmine rice and a zingy Asian herb salad. Desserts are another high point, particularly the assiette of apple, which includes a jelly capped with Calvados cream.
An above-average wine list is certainly an inspiration.”

“This is easily the best food in town. The food is fresh and the waiter who served us was keen to make sure we enjoyed our meal. He checked with the chef to see if the restaurant could do a dish that
was not on the menu (it could). The location is also excellent. Even though it is a little more expensive than the average, I would definitely return as it is money well spent.
